BOOKING POLICY FOR SOCIAL EVENTS
For some time now overbooking for the major club events and in particular the Fitting Out Supper, Laying Up Supper and Commodore’s Christmas Party, has become a considerable headache for organiser, Marion Barnes. As a result booking procedures have had to be laid down, and are as follows:

• Cheque with booking.

• No block bookings accepted – member and spouse only on the form.

• These events are NOT open to non-members.

• Booking forms will have a closing date, after which bookings will not be accepted. This date will allow sufficient time for everyone to receive notification, whether they collect OnWatch in person, receive it by post or download it from the internet.

• Should the event be oversubscribed, then all applications will be drawn from a hat. Only those directly involved in the organisation of a particular event will be guaranteed a place.

We hope that this will overcome the problem and prove a fairer way of allocating places.
