The autumn programme is now underway, with Thursday walks, Wednesday suppers and Sunday talks, which have a nautical theme, the first talk of the season was by Peter from the East Anglian Sailing Trust, with a personal view of Climate Change. Future talks include weather forecasting and yachting adventures.

The first walk of the season was a gentle stroll around the undulating Suffolk countryside, led by William, with a welcome meal at the Framsden Greyhound. Future walks are all led by club members, and end at dog friendly pubs for lunch.

The onshore winter programme is fully underway, with the delicious Wednesday suppers always popular, these are a chance to meet fellow members in the riverside club house.  The laying up supper, under the expert galley team of Rosemary and Sally officially marks the end of the sailing season, and the homecooked puddings are always a highlight.

The club is an official Royal Yachting Association accredited training centre, and the RYA Day Skipper shore-based course, and VHF Radio course will be run at the club in xx 2026. The later course is for the SRC certificate, and this is a legal requirement to operate a ship’s radio. Full details are on the club website, and prices are very competitive.

Other club events include the November AGM, under the auspicious of the Commodore John, when Officers will be elected, reports given and the opportunity for questions.
