I have been asked by Nigel Mower, (Chairman of HASSA) to advise you to be on the lookout for large wash from the wind farm support boats. Apparently he was just off the Harwich shelf; when wash from one of these vessels hit him. It was low water springs and he felt that there was a real possibility of grounding.
It would appear that these support boats are using the yacht track at high speed. Ian Mace, at Harwich, has been advised and has brought the incidents to the attention of operators who will notify their skippers accordingly.
