he period after Christmas and New Year is always dismal and depressing, so we are intending to liven it up with a bar and games night.
No booking, no charge, just turn up like a normal weekend bar, but with the added attraction of pub games like dominoes, draughts, shove ha’penny and bagatelle, as well as a selection of board games.
If you don’t fancy playing a game that’s fine, you can sit and chat and enjoy a glass of wine or beer in good company, but if you do, there will be several games to choose from.
As with the weekend bar, we will need volunteers, but we will work this out on an ad-hoc basis on the night, and I am sure there will be no shortage of volunteers.
