The talk covers a brief history of early radar, the events leading up to the development of a viable system and the establishment of the world’s first operational radar station at Bawdsey. It focuses on the people involved with a very brief mention of the technology and concludes with a short summary of how Bawdsey was used during and post WWII
Graham is a trustee of Bawdsey Radio Trust and has been involved in radio, both professionally and as a licensed Radio Amateur, for over 50 years. He was involved in developing the first digital terrestrial microwave links for BT in the 1970s.
