Members are heading back on the water and the cruising season is getting underway. The inaugural cruise, the model boat challenge on Woodbridge boating lake organised by Alex was keenly fought.

The Deben Discovery in May will be first actual cruise, and club members will be back on the water sailing in company. Thanks to Clive for organising this. All cruises are organised by club members and are a great way to sail (or motorboat) in company, with moorings or marinas arranged.

The Ore and Alde cruise is always fully booked, with cruise leader Brian having a delightful programme cruising Orford, Aldeburgh, Iken, Snape and Butley, with SADS  (Safe Arrival Drinks) and convivial meals at local yacht clubs and pubs.

Future cruises are to Burnham,  Titchmarsh, Lowestoft  and even a continental cruise, starting in Belgium and venturing further afield to France or Dutch waters. If you want to cross the channel in company in your yacht, WCC is the ideal way to undertake this voyage.

Wednesday barbecuesstart this week and run through the summer. They are a delightful way to spend an evening in the pleasant garden of the riverside club house. The  lunchtime weekend bar is always popular , catching up with friends and enjoying a drink with possibly the best view in Woodbridge.

The club is open on Woodbridge Regatta Sunday 29th June, with the bar open from 12noon and live music from 2pm – 4pm.
