We have an ideal mixture of on shore and off shore activities, from cruises to social gatherings, to cater for all tastes.

On shore Wednesday barbecues are proving popular, an ideal chance to meet up out of doors in the secluded garden area. Members are also enjoying the Sunday bar, sitting overlooking the river (a most enjoyable time when not cruising or at sea).

The Walton Backwaters cruise is a perennial favourite and this year 13 boats enjoyed a sunny weekend at Titchmarsh, albeit with 26 knots when some boats were entering Twizzle. The club boats were all moored companionably together, and members (and dogs) enjoyed SADS and a barbecue on the Friday night, with a challenging quiz. The evening then concluded with an excellent one man musical concert by John, with well-known songs and audience participation. Saturday saw members participate in a variety of activities, with seal watching wildlife tours, cycle rides or walks into Walton and then the keenly fought annual Kubb tournament, with chocolate prizes for the winning team. Sunday was another lovely sunny day and boats set sail for home ports. The cruise was organised by club members and Graham and Julie are to be thanked for organising such a great cruise, much appreciated by everyone.

Members are looking forward to future cruises, sailing the East Coast from Lowestoft and Southwold in the north, to the Blackwater, Walton Pond, London, Ramsgate and beyond to the south. If you fancy cruising in company, why not join us. Yachts and motorboats are welcome to participate. There is also the annual club barbecue, the end of season cruise dinner and the laying up supper, which are all planned for August onwards.

The club is not all nautical activities. We have a wide range of events throughout the year (nautical and land based).  If you are tempted by the activities, please have a look at the rest of the website.  New members are always welcome, whether you own a motorboat or yacht or are just interested in all things nautical.
